This Fat Lake Erie Perch Just Broke The Ohio State Record

Dave Berg of Mentor in Ohio was having one of those typical fishing days when BAM out of nowhere he hooks a record. Fishing from the bank of Lake Erie in Ohio, near  the mouth of the Grand River, northeast of Cleveland when he hooked this fatty of a perch that went 2.9 pounds (2 pounds,14 ounces).

The old record of a 2.75-pound, 14.5-inch yellow perch was caught in 1984 by Charles Thomas.
