This Massive Tiger Was Reported to be Caught off Byron Bay but Was It ?

Is Byron Bay a Shark Magnet and Is the Fear Justified ?

With four serious shark attacks hitting the Byron Bay Ballina area in NSW Australia recently, there is a lot of “shark fear” circulating locally with surfers leading the way and its also now on an international stage with World Champ Mick Fanning almost chewed up in front of the world as the J’Bay Pro was being beamed live around the world.

Over the weekend, this Massive 4 metre Tiger Shark was circulating on social media as reportedly caught off the the Tweed Coast at 9 Mile Reef by a local fisherman named “Matt” who was battling a hammerhead when this beast swallowed the hammer and he proceeded to battle in the big Tiger – however Byron local Geoff Brooks intially announced on social media the shark was caught at Seven Mile Beach near Broken Head, and others are saying it was taken ” ages ago”.

Whatever the case – the fear is real and this is one big shark every surfer the world over would not want to run into.
