This Massive Tuna Would Have Been A World Record But…

Big game fisherman Rob Ross was trolling out from the remote Pisces Collection Lodge, on the Sea of Cortez off Loreto in Mexico when he hooked and landed a very, very big yellowfin tuna. In fact the tuna was so big that after weighing it a local cattle ranch on a butchers scales ( as you do when your remote) and it came in at whopping 430 pounds he thought he better fillet it up ready for dinner.

With a bit of hindsight he thought he better call the lodge owner and have a chat about his catch and was promptly reportedly told “You just cut up your world record” – With the current world record for yellowfin standing at 427 pounds caught off Cabo San Lucas you can just imagine his reaction !
